GIF 2nd ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 21/12/2024.

 REPORT ON THE SECOND GLOWING INSPIRATIONAL FOUNDATION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Second Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Glowing Inspirational Foundation (GIF) was held on 21/12/2024. The meeting commenced with a solemn prayer seeking divine guidance and blessings for the proceedings, followed by a warm welcoming note from the CEO to acknowledge the presence of all attendees and noted apologies for any absent members.

 

 

Under the Chair Person of the Meeting, Mr. Nelson Faustin, proposed agenda was adopted, and a symbolic vow for newly registered members was taken to reaffirm the commitment of these members to the mission and values of GIF. All these Vows were witnessed by all members who attended the meeting under the supervision of Adv. Mandela Mziray. The minutes of the previous AGM held on 9th December 2023 were reviewed and confirmed, while matters arising from the previous meeting were discussed to address any outstanding issues.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) presented a comprehensive report on the financial status and activities of GIF, providing insights into the organization's fiscal health and performance. The proposed annual calendar for 2025, outlining key events and activities, was reviewed to ensure alignment with the foundation's objectives and goals.

  

Strategies for fundraising and proposal writing for 2025 were deliberated, focusing on seeking funding from donors and the Moshi Rural District Council to support GIF's initiatives and projects. The roles and responsibilities of GIF ambassadors and department members were reviewed to enhance clarity and effectiveness in their duties.

During the "Any Other Business" (AOB) segment, remarks were shared by representatives from SONGA MBELE organization and esteemed guests, including the Mwecauso President and Prime Minister, the Invited Honorary Members such as Amb. Dr. Ladis Komba, Ms. Kibona J, and Br. Martin OFM Cap highlighting the collaborative efforts and impact of GIF in the community. These remarks also were geared towards determining hindrances that have prevented the expected achievements and ways of dealing with them effectively to achieve more in 2025.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the Board Chairperson, emphasizing the importance of unity, dedication, and progress in achieving the foundation's objectives. A closing prayer was offered for gratitude and blessings from Rev. Fr. Geofrey Kazikulima, followed by group photos to capture the spirit of togetherness and shared commitment among members.

Despite facing challenges such as inclement weather that prevented the planned visit to the GIF office, the AGM was a success, reflecting the collective dedication and vision of Glowing Inspirational Foundation in creating positive change and impact in the community. The meeting served as a platform for reflection, planning, and renewed commitment towards a brighter future for GIF and its stakeholders.

The Glowing Inspirational Foundation (GIF) CEO, accompanied by the Board chairperson, recently attended the Global symposium organized by UNISERVITATE at LUMSA University in Rome, Italy on 7th and 8th November. This report highlights the significant events and outcomes of their participation.
