INTERGENERATIONAL CLIMATE CHANGE SUMMIT: MLIMANI CITY-DAR ES SALAAM.

On February 28th, the Mlimani City Conference Hall in Dar es Salaam hosted an impactful Intergenerational Climate Change Summit, organized by the Green Samia Foundation (GSF). The central theme of the summit was “Empowering Generations to Lead on Climate Action,” focusing on the critical role that both current and future generations play in addressing climate change challenges.

Participants:

The summit brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government officials, environmental activists, youth representatives, and community leaders. Among the attendees were four representatives from the Glowing Inspirational Foundation (GIF), representing the Kilimanjaro Region:

Objectives:

The summit aimed to:

2. Empower youth to take active roles in climate action initiatives.
3. Share knowledge and best practices regarding sustainable agricultural practices.
4. Foster collaboration among various stakeholders to develop actionable strategies for climate resilience.

Program Highlights:

1. Opening Ceremony:
   The summit commenced with welcoming remarks from GSF representatives, emphasizing the importance of an inclusive approach to climate action. Keynote speeches highlighted the urgency of addressing climate change and the power of collective efforts.

2. Panel Discussions:
   Various panels featured experts discussing topics such as:
   • The intersection of climate change and agriculture
   • Sustainable practices for environmental conservation
